Akai joins cast of Into the Hoods at Royal Festival Hall
Akai, winner of Sky 1's Got to Dance, joined the cast of the hip-hop show Into the Hoods in the South Bank's Queen Elizabeth Hall undercroft on Wednesday afternoon.
The 11-year-old won Sky 1's show in February and follows in the footsteps of George Sampson, the 2008 Britain's Got Talent winner, who joined Into the Hoods during its Queen Elizabeth Hall run last Christmas.
Into the Hoods returns to the Southbank Centre for the summer – but this time it's in the Royal Festival Hall itself.
Featuring music from Stevie Wonder, Dizzee Rascal and The Chemical Brothers and characters such as singer Lil Red and rapper Rap-en-Zel it bridges the gap between street and stage.
