St John's Waterloo

This year the Waterloo Festival is working with Bridge House, an independent UK publisher, to e-publish selected new writing, available through Amazon or direct from the publisher.

The festival organisers are looking for prose or monologue of up to 1,000 words.

The topic is To Be ... To Become.

The organisers say: "Please interpret this freely. It can be serious, sad, happy, hysterical ... you choose and make our day!"

The deadline is 5pm on Easter Eve, Saturday 31 March Full details of how to submit are on the festival website.

In June, the Waterloo Festival will present three-minute snippets from submissions at the launch event. All entries selected for publication will get a free invitation to the launch.

Waterloo Festival began in 2011 to celebrate arts and community in the South Bank area. Hosted by St John's Waterloo, the festival welcomes diversity and innovation.
