The procession began at Oasis Academy Johanna and made its way to Waterloo Millennium Green via Lower Marsh, Westminster Bridge Road and Baylis Road.

As well as pupils from the Co-operative Nursery, Oasis Academy Johanna and Oasis Academy South Bank, the carnival also included members of older people's groups from the Vida Walsh Centre and Waterloo Action Centre.

Performers from Circus Zambia – visiting the UK on tour – wowed the crowds with their feats.

Mandinga Arts, Uniao Da Mocidade and London School of Samba also contributed to the colourful and noisy parade.
