Police have released an image of a man who is wanted in connection with a serious assault in Coopers Road, near the Old Kent Road.

Police say that 35-year-old Garnet Russell of no fixed abode is wanted on suspicion of assault after a 35-year-old woman was attacked on Coopers Road, at approximately 9.20pm on Wednesday 20 June.

Russell is believed to have connections to Southwark and north London.

At the time of the attack, he was wearing a black jumper and blue jeans.

Members of the public are advised not to approach Russell if he is seen but to call 999 immediately.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call police on 101 and quote CAD 8648/20Jul or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
