The Hop Cellars

Artist Samuel Palmer referred to the hops in Borough where today Southwark Street's Hop Exchange carries a beautiful hop decoration around its doorway.
The product of Kentish hops can be sampled on weekdays in the Hop Cellars Wine Bar down below. It is run by the well-known Balls Brothers who operate in the City.
Here there is a similar clientele at lunchtime for the bottles of wine, large plates of varied sandwiches and surprisingly fine puddings such as chocolate brownie with honeycomb ice cream.
With independent (free) wireless internet (wifi) service.
