Great taste and very cordial attitude
Almost completing a month after arriving from India, us friends decided to visit London for the long weekend.
We noticed Ume's Kitchen and decided to dine there @ night.
I ordered the 'lamb curry (tikka)' and enjoyed it with naan.
I liked the taste so much, that I decided to eat next day's lunch there.
As I haven't had tea (like home brewed one) I casually mentioned to have one if possible. They even arranged for that. This was really a nice gesture. My friend, who has been quite quiet for long (He talks a lot) enjoyed chatting with the chaps there. Also, they made his dish extra spicy on his request/wish. It was really like we were dining at home. Good experience for us.
Food not great!
Checked in for a takeout recently on a Friday evening, said they'd just opened.

Ordered a lamb biryani and sheek kebab to take out, the biryani was the worst I've ever had, 3 pieces of lamb, full of lime juice and tomato. The sheek kebab hardly tasted of lamb! the pre-cooked meat/currys on display didn't look too appetising either, I will not return.

Shame as i thought we'd finally get a decent indian cafe with good food and reasonable prices in the area,
