Amazing ribs and meats
We go here once a month probably, as well as using deliveroo.

The tastiest ribs in london, and authentic texan bbq. Totally delicious meats and main courses.

Fires are always crispy, but the other sides are a bit mediocre. It doesn't matter though as the meats are so good and that's what you come for

The venue always has a great atmosphere and the staff are lovely. Great venue for the area

Meat cooking of an uncommonly high standard
Having been to Texas Joe's the week it launched, when it was excellent and very busy. Having done a fairly sizeable Autumn ramble yesterday, I gave it another try last night.

Arriving at half past eight(ish) the restaurant was comfortable busy, but we didn't have to wait for a table. If you do, they've a charming 'cantina' style bar next door to wait in.

Service was excellent throughout the meal. There is music, but it's quiet enough not to require raised voices and the musical choice was interesting.

A shared starter of bacon-wrapped stuffed jalapeños got the taste-buds going before the main course. I had the beef brisket, she had chicken on the bone, both accompanied by bread, slaw and pickles.

My brisket was three enormous slabs of wonderfully tender, flavour-filled cow. I only managed two slices; the third made an excellent lunch today. The side portion of chips was enough for two.

The range of draft beers is short (it's a restaurant, not a pub) but had the excellent Camden Pale Ale in addition to lager-style beers, and starts at £5/pint (plus 12.5% service charge, naturally).

Two points:
a) The portions are traditionally "American" - you won't leave hungry
b) Don't bother taking vegetarians - the meat is the message here.

Dry ribs to go go
A favourite. Don't be put off by the facade. Consistently good takeaway ( an lightning delivery )with a menu that goes a bit further that your typical Chinese. Good lunchtime specials plus the option to eat in for 30p a head. Salt & Pepper Prawns are top notch, as are the Dry Ribs.
Very warm service. Recommended.
