MarshRuby - cheap and delicious dins
The lo-fi and totally charming MarshRuby is now open Thurs and Fri evening (BYO). All organic and freshly made, it's ridiculously good value. I had a huge plate of dahl with spinach and veg curry and my friend had coconut chicken, both with rice and salad - all for £9 something! and they recycle everything and are incredibly nice. a gem.
Great Curry
This is another of my great finds in Waterloo. The curries are amazing, very fresh and clean tasting, with no oiliness often associated with curry. I keep missing the prawn curry, so get their early if you want to try this. My only complaint - they don't open in the evenings, but then again - why should they.
Best around?
This is a great lunchtime venue, with people often queueing out of the premises onto the street - a victim of their own success. The food is tasty, very fresh, healthy and great value. The customer return rate is quite high and the staff seem to know many of the customers by their first names.

The owners are environmentally, socially responsible and only buy free range chicken, give the customer a choice of fair trade rice or normal and give discounts to those bringing back their old take away containers.

No Coke, but rather more natural and some organic beverages are on offer. There are two large water pitchers so that you can help your self. A far cry from the fast food franchises that are so readily available.

They sell one Lamb curry, two chicken varieties and about 4? vegetarian ones. You can also have half of one and half of another.

Yes, I'm a frequent visiter too!
