Community Green Champions is Bankside Open Spaces Trust's new initiative - building our community with green spaces at its heart. We are looking for keen local residents to get involved in the care, design and development of local green spaces.
The Green Champion will act as the voice for their local community to drive passion for green spaces. They will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and play a big part within the network of people and organisations they help build and create.

Opportunities for Champions:
Develop your vision for your local green/open area
Get involved with your community
Build a network between local people and local organisations
Training
Gain experience and skills in : event planning and organisation, fundraising, project management, setting-up and working with community groups, and anything related to gardening and growing

Key interests:
Community building, networking, green spaces, open spaces, gardening, food growing, health & wellbeing, volunteering.

How often:
This post doesn't have a fixed time commitment however community green champions will be expected to attend catch-up meetings with their facilitator and agree to a structured action plan so they can achieve their vision.
