Shifting Perspectives 2011

The powerful work of the Shifting Perspectives team explores the photographic representation of people with Down's syndrome, challenging attitudes and prejudices and examining alternative representations of both adults, children and the unborn.

Now in its seventh year at the gallery@oxo, the ever-expanding group of photographers can lay claim to a real transformation in the way that Down's syndrome is viewed through the medium of contemporary photography.
