Text-Lab Open Day

This is a fantastic opportunity for children, young people and their families to come and find out more about the Unicorn Theatre with a number of free activities including story-making workshops and performances throughout the day.

The Text-Lab Open Day celebrates the end of a 3-week festival working with primary and secondary schools in Southwark to explore, experiment, play and discover theatre.

This has included a script-writing project with pupils from Walworth Academy to create a brand-new play that will premiere at the Open Day.

The project has also included: working with Anupama Chandrasekhar, a writer from India, to develop a new way to tell the story of The Snow Queen (the Unicorn's 2011 Christmas Show), development of scripts for our annual Class Acts project and gathering stories from local pupils for a new show currently being developed for 2012.
