There is no Spring Without St George at Keyworth Centre

Dr Sam Riches of Lancaster University gives the St George in Southwark Festival lecture.

Dr Sam Riches is to give the St George in Southwark Festival public lecture at London South Bank University this month.

With the traditional St George’s Day date falling at Easter the festivities in Southwark were more muted than usual.

Samantha Riches, of Lancaster University, is author of St George: Hero, Martyr and Myth published by The History Press (£12.99).

Admission to the lecture is free; places should be reserved on [email protected] or 020 7193 1845.

Doors open at 5.30pm with refreshments available after the lecture.
