First performed at The Rose Playhouse 3 March 1592, Henry VI part I, or harey the vj as entered in Philip Henslowe's Diary, was an Elizabethan box office sensation, prompting Henslowe to run the show again four days later.

Four hundred years later, Talbot and the English Army arise once again, here, on the Rose Stage, to do battle with Joan La Pucelle and the French Army.
