Local community theatre group the Quay Players perform a family pantomime.

The show, an original piece of writing by a local Bermondsey resident, features a variety of songs ranging from classic showtunes to songs from Disney's Aladdin, with some Christmas cheer thrown in for good measure.

Moost of the cast and creative team have volunteered to give up their time to create this lively show alongside their full-time jobs.

Aladdin marks the start of the 15th season of the Quay Players, who have performed shows ranging from 'Little Shop of Horrors' to the classic 'Crazy For You' over the past decade-and-a-half, to packed-out audiences.

"We're delighted to commence our 15th year with such a fun, family-friendly show – and it's even more fitting that it was written by a local resident and long-standing member of the group," says chairman Darren Knight.

"We're all about getting as many people involved as we can – whether that's longstanding members who regularly perform with us, to new members of the group, to our loyal audiences. We've also decided for the first time to hold a signed performance of the panto, meaning anyone within the local community and further afield who is hearing-impaired can come along and join in the fun."

BSL signed performance Thursday 8 December
