In a furrowed field stands a lonely scarecrow. He is confused and fed up. Nobody takes any notice of him. When something lands on a fingertip, looks and slowly walks along an arm. His field has been taken over by a family of squabbling, nibbling, bickering, noisy crows! They won't go away. They just keep coming back! Why can't he be left alone? The story follows their relationship over a year, from their beginnings as enemies, to their conclusion as grudging friends.
