Art by offenders, secure patients and detainees

The Koestler Trust – the unique charity which awards, exhibits and sells artworks by offenders – will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year with a major exhibition curated by the artist Sarah Lucas, who herself turns 50 this autumn. Part of an ongoing partnership between the Koestler Trust and Southbank Centre, the exhibition showcases the best of an estimated 7,000 entries from offenders working across the UK, promoting the power of art to change lives and showcasing high quality art which, the Trust believes, deserves an audience on its own merits.
