On the streets of Los Angeles a groundbreaking dance phenomenon has evolved. Moving at what seems like impossible speed clown dancers, or krumpers, bust their frantic, aggressive moves to booming hip hop.
Tommy the Clown is acknowledged as one of the originators of krumping and a community role model who started a dance school and directed a lot of kids away from gangs and crime. Then rival groups sprang up, all with different philosophical and aesthetic ideas about the art of krumping and its popularity became such that dance-offs could even pack stadiums.
