Local history is brought vividly to life by writer and performer John Constable, author of The Southwark Mysteries and Secret Bankside Walks In The Outlaw Borough.

The medieval Liberty of the Clink, outside the law of the City, was a place of prisons, taverns, bear-pits and 'stews' where the world's oldest profession was licensed by the church and Shakespearean theatre was born. This walk ends at Cross Bones Graveyard.
