Dreamtide: a programme of music inspired by sleep and dreams.
Relaxing classics that depict this almost state of unconsciousness will be sharply contrasted with the successions of images, ideas, emotions and sensations that occur involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep.
The concert will include music by Berlioz, Smyth, Faure, Whitacre, Messiaen and the world premiere of Dreamtide by Christopher Hussey.
