Acclaimed portrait painter Juliet Wood was searching for an appropriate and inspiring public place to continue her interest in capturing groups of people and their interactions.

She found it in a local fast-food outlet in Swindon and, in that particular arena of transitory ritual and activity, amidst the chance encounters of people’s lives, under the bright strip lights, she was captivated.
