Ours Was the Fen Country

A Still House production devised by Dan Canham and the company; Tilly Webber, Ian Morgan and Neil Paris. Dan Canham has previously performed as a member of DV8 Physical Theatre, Kneehigh Theatre and Punchdrunk. Productions by his company Still House include 30 Cecil Street, which has toured nationally and internationally.
For the past two years Dan Canham has been capturing conversations with people of the fens in East Anglia. Eel-catchers, young farmers, horsemen and molly dancers have all been interviewed. This ethereal piece of theatre uses dance and sound together with the words and memories of the interviewees to get to the heart of this beautiful, bleak and mysterious expanse of flat land.
