Picturing the Garden

The Garden Museum has acquired more than 80 artworks since receiving funding under the Heritage Lottery Fund's Collecting Cultures programme in 2008.

The Garden Museum is currently preparing for a major development project which will see a new permanent display at the museum.

This exhibition is a taster for the new display to come, exploring themes as diverse as how gardens are created and designed, how they shape people's lives, and the inspiration people have drawn from the garden throughout history and up to the present day.
