Staff, traders and Trustees of Borough Market will gather to observe the national two minute silence for Armistice Day.

The Last Post will be performed and the market bell will be rung to bring the two minute silence to a close.

All members of the local community are invited to gather in the Middle Road area of the market.

Poppies are available from the market's information point at 15 Three Crown Square.

A poppy wreath will also be laid in the entrance to 8 Southwark Street in remembrance of the five men killed whilst on duty at the wardens' post in Southwark in September 1940:

Thomas William Victor Cheeseman
Albert Edward Cheeseman
Henry John Cheeseman
Daniel Long
Thomas Henry Darvell
