An exhibition exploring the legacy of volunteers to hospice care today.
A journey of experiences through photography, oral histories and archival material.
After the exhibition ends it will be placed in an archive at King's College Hospital.
The exhibition is a culmination of a project by 37 volunteers who were invited to immerse themselves in the Cicely Saunders Collection at King's College Hospital.
Visitors to the exhibition are invited to experience the same task these volunteers took on by digging through archive boxes, looking at old photographs, reading documents etc.
The aim of the exhibition is to allow the general public of all ages to experience the impact of volunteering, that volunteering is for everyone (no special skills needed, except compassion) as well as the importance of oral histories and how they bring the past to life.
