Starting at 2pm, six plays – five by Shakespeare and one by Marlowe – will be read in edited one-hour versions by invited actors and the public alike.
Parts will be drawn out of a hat. At the end of the allotted hour, regardless of whether the play has finished, it will be stopped and the next one will begin.
HAMLET at 2pm
ROMEO AND JULIET at 3pm
AS YOU LIKE IT at 4pm
MACBETH at 5pm
DOCTOR FAUSTUS at 6pm
TWELFTH NIGHT 7pm
Participants will be asked to pay £3 per production, or £15 for all six plays.
Audience members will also be asked to pay £2 per production or £10 to come and listen to all six plays.
Everyone is advised to dress warmly for the occasion – although hot drinks will be available for purchase throughout the day.
