Shamaa Dance Company and Pushpalata Dance troupe join hands to present "Parallel Worlds"- a vibrant and soulful new dance production, exploring the spiritual movements of Bhakti (Hinduism) and Sufi-ism (Islam) originating around 13th Century in Northern India.

An eclectic selection of poetry from the era displaying the cross-over between the two philosophies will form the foundation of the dance piece. Indian classical dance fused with poetry and creative movements gives visualisation to the theme.

The dance piece is choreographed by Morley dance tutor Sushma Mehta and Priya Pawar and will be accompanied by evocative live music.

The performance will be followed by a discussion and questions from the floor.
