The Dead Moon

Troupe, an emerging theatre company, are bringing their new folk musical to SE1.

Originating from the Ancholme valley in North Lincolnshire, before the carr lands were drained and great swathes of the area were underwater for most of the year. Isolated from the rest of the community and rife with both malaria and opium poppies, these three unique stories are feverish, wild and surreal- presenting the beautiful hallucinations of a community’s collective imagination.

Troupe are a company of storytellers, dedicated to creating distinctive Theatre that ruffles the feathers of dramatic convention.

With puppetry, dancing and original live music, this folk musical will breathe new life into some little known tales and transport audiences to the long lost landscape of the Lincolnshire carrs.
