In 2014 and 2015 the largest Ebola outbreak in history threatened to decimate Sierra Leone. Faced with predictions of death on a huge scale, the Sierra Leonean government and global health community made the unusual decision to request international military support.

A panel of speakers will recall the daunting early days of the outbreak and the decision to call in the UK military.

Speakers:
Brian Jones, former Head of International Security Advisory Team to Sierra Leone
Dr Oliver Johnson, former Programme Director of the King's Sierra Leone Partnership

This talk is linked to current display Fighting Extremes: From Ebola to ISIS, which will be open to view after the talk.
