David Harker Exhibition

Nowheres and the Perception of Imagery

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

This exhibition shows examples from a selection of Harker's projects, including 'Species of Trees' and 'Nowheres'. 'Species of Trees' is a collection of portraits of particular trees influenced by the graphic art of 19th-century Japan and contemporary China.

The drawings of 'Nowheres' were inspired by 'somewhere', and the title of each piece provides a glimpse into the geographical place.

The aim is to provide a sense of place, but also allow room for many interpretations brought by the viewer's own personal narratives.
