London 1666 at River Thames

A vast, 120-metre-long wooden sculpture of Restoration London will be set alight on the River Thames near Blackfriars Bridge.

This hugely ambitious project is the work of many, involving children and young people from across the five boroughs adjacent to the City of London (Hackney, Camden, Southwark, Tower Hamlets and Islington).

Part of the commemoration of the 350th anniversary of the Great Fire of London.

NB Blackfriars Bridge, Waterloo Bridge and Upper Ground will be closed to traffic between 5pm and 11pm.
