Open Garden Squares Weekend

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

Dating back to 1712, this delightful historic garden belongs to the residence of the Dean of Southwark, located just beside the Globe Theatre.

The garden is open to visitors as part of Open Garden Squares Weekend for the first time.

Secluded and hidden from the bustle of tourists, it is a peaceful haven for wildlife. Planted with mature shrubs, trees and herbaceous plants, the garden is looked after by the gardener from Southwark Cathedral.

Please note access to this small garden is via the historic Cardinal Cap Alley and visitor numbers may be restricted at certain times.
