The competition challenges adult education students from across the UK to submit original works of art that have taken inspiration from the collections at the V&A Museum and the V&A Museum of Childhood. Entrants are invited to submit work in a variety of creative media, including sculpture, ceramics, textiles, painting, and digital media. This year's exhibition features 76 pieces across nine categories, selected from 185 entries in total and with 16 adult education institutions and colleges represented.

Highlights from this year's exhibition include "Mechanical Pangolin" by Morley student Coral Woods, inspired by the V&A Museum of Childhood; "Pelt Necklace" by Kishi Yamamoto from City Lit, inspired by the "spotted leopard" motif used in Ottoman textiles; "Starburst" by Caroline O'Connor from Kensington and Chelsea College, inspired by a pair of 1950s Cartier earrings; and "Poisonous Fungus" by Rafael Peinador Perez, also from Morley, inspired by mushroom drawings on two French postcards.
