Dancer and choreographer Trisha Brown became one of the leaders in New York’s Judson Dance Theatre during the 1960s, a revolutionary period that changed modern dance forever.
After founding the Trisha Brown Dance Company in 1970, she began a series of large-scale theatrical productions and has collaborated with numerous contemporary artists, among them Robert Rauschenberg, Laurie Anderson and John Cage.
For the first time in 25 years, one of her most famous pieces, Walking on the Wall, Man Walking Down the Side of a Building, is restaged at Tate Modern.
