This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

The Fowlers Troop Jack in the Green was revived by members of Blackheath Morris Men and friends in the early 1980s. It is a revival of a Jack in the Green from about 1906 which was taken out around Deptford on May Day.

The current Jack in the Green goes out on the streets of South East London or the City of London every May Day.

The Jack will be 'greened up' at The Market Porter on Monday night and on Tuesday morning will process to London Bridge to meet the City of London Jack in the Green.

After a tour of the Square Mile the two Jacks will return to Southwark via the Millennium Bridge (approx 4.30pm).
