Restoration Art

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

Visitors to HMS Belfast cannot fail to notice that the ship is being given a new lick of paint. The paintwork on Belfast is called dazzle paint, a special type of camouflage in which the colours and patterns were used in an attempt to confuse enemies at sea.

If you had the chance to re-paint the warship what colours and patterns would you use? Drop in to this free family activity where you will have the chance to put your ideas down on paper- well on to a T-shirt to be precise!

T-shirts, fabric pens and a blank outline of The Ship provided- you do the rest! Let your imagination run wild and invent a new design for the Belfast while creating your own unique t-shirt to take home with you.
