Hooray! The Fun Club's back in town! Pappy's is sometimes standup, sometimes sketches, sometimes character monologues, and sometimes all of those things thrown together. In different combinations they combine to form a comic team vaguely reminiscent of "The Kids in the Hall" and "Monty Python's Flying Circus."

Shazia Mirza

Shazia began stand up comedy in September 2000 and won Hackney Empire Best New Act competition a year later. Plus she won the Metro Magazine's People's Choice Best Comic Award at the London Comedy Festival 2002. Her distinctive act combines a deadpan delivery with observation on her world. Shazia is in certain respects a revolutionary figure being the UK's only female Muslim stand up.This enables her to have a unique perspective as a British Muslim with her material crossing both cultures.
