Garden Barge Square is situated at Tower Bridge Moorings, Downings Roads, Southwark. These are historic 'ancient moorings', dating back 200 years or more. Gardens have been created on the decks of many of the barges to form an 'inside-out' floating garden square.
In 2004 residents won a planning battle to save their floating homes after protests by some residents of nearby riverside flats.
Delicious Thai snacks, prepared by Noodeng Jarman (a barge resident), will be on sale for charity.
