Charles Dickens and his Characters

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

Perhaps the most popular of all the Eniglish novelists, Dickens' fictions made his audiences laugh and weep in equal measure. He exposed the evils of his time effectively, satirised a society ready for change, and invented unforgettable characters. The emphasis of the evening will be on these, and how Fagin and Pickwick, Scrooge and David Copperfield became part of the heritage.
