All aboard the Skylark!

This group show presents the work of 30 members with work ranging from figurative to abstract and 3D art. The artists work in a wide range of media and styles, and respond in different ways to the world around them and the materials they find. Steve Yeates transforms vandalised bus shelter glass into delicate figurative sculptures, whilst former fashion designer Jennifer Taylor combines fabric with paint on the theme of the stiletto shoe. Some artists work with the idea of layering, reflecting the interaction of the many levels of memory and experience in our lives. Skylark is an artists group set up in the early 1990s, and this exhibition celebrates the fifth anniversary of Skylark 2 studio located on first floor of Oxo Tower Wharf. Illustrated talks, workshops and demonstrations on different techniques will be given by many of the artists.
