A glimpse into the way children see the world with a collection of inspirational and exciting paintings by UK primary school children depicting the world from their own perspective. The national and regional winners of Sightsavers International's annual Junior Painter of the Year Awards are being showcased to raise awareness of the issue of global blindness as part of World Sight Day (11 October) and also to encourage and celebrate the use of paint in primary schools.
The art on display has been selected from over nine thousand entries from primary school children, by a judging panel which included Professor Maurice Cockrill RA, Keeper of the Royal Academy of Arts.
