One of the world's most distinguished accordionists, Oleg Sharov, is giving a recital in the Holst Room at Morley College after giving a free masterclass that afternoon. Both the recital and the Masterclass are open to all.
Oleg Sharov, born in 1946 in St. Petersburg, secured one of only 20 places available that year at the world famous St. Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory of Music, the first conservatory founded in Russia. He went on to become Senior Professor of Music at the conservatory.
Oleg has toured extensively in the Soviet Union, Finland & Eastern Europe and continues to enhance his international reputation, now also touring in Western Europe and Japan. He is regarded by his peers as one of the most accomplished 'Free Bass' accordionists in the world today.
