Disposable People at Royal Festival Hall

Slavery in the 21st century seen through the lenses of Magnum photographers.

Curated by Mark Sealy, Director of Autograph ABP, this exhibition presents newly commissioned photo-essays by nine internationally renowned Magnum photographers, all of whom have a strong commitment to human rights issues. Each photographer explores an aspect of slavery in the world today. Contextualising texts and commentaries will be written by the world's leading authority on contemporary slavery, Professor Kevin Bales, Director of 'Free the Slaves.' The nine photographers are: Abbas, Ian Berry, Stuart Franklin, Jim Goldberg, Susan Meiselas, Paolo Pellegrin, Gilles Peress, Chris Steele-Perkins, Alex Webb.

The exhibition is produced in collaboration with Autograph ABP and Magnum Photos, and is supported by ACE, MTV, Christian Aid, and Concern.
