Some Activities of Bermondsey Council (1931)

Bermondsey Borough Council was the first to make its own films. In 1931, Some Activities of Bermondsey Borough Council, a newsreel-style film, was made from a compilation of previously made footage, to explain the Council's various services and activities.

We Was All One (1972)

The changing way of life in London's East End as old streets are demolished and new blocks of flats put up. The film examines the loss of community spirit, and whether the changes are for the worse or better. See this forum discussion.
