Two authors who have recently published work looking at contemporary relationships between Africa and the rest of the world.

Tony D'Souza is an American who spent several years working as a Peace Corps volunteer in West Africa. His book 'Whiteman' is a fictionalised account of that time.

Segun Afolabi is a Nigerian writer who won the 2005 Caine prize for African writing with a story from his collection 'A Life Elsewhere'. He is currently based in the UK but has lived in the Congo, Canada, East Germany and Indonesia, and his collection reflects the diversity of his experience.
