Shifting Perspectives 2008

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

Richard Bailey, Fiona Field and Vinay Kapoor celebrate the diversity of people with Down's syndrome.

The Shifting Perspectives team of photographers return to the.gallery@oxo for the fourth year running to continue through their work challenging the misconceptions about people with Down's syndrome.

The images displayed reflect the diverse desires, beliefs and cultural backgrounds that people with Down's syndrome have, showing that each person is different because of their desires, thoughts, actions, beliefs and cultural backgrounds - not merely because they have Down's syndrome.

The exhibition runs during the awareness week of the Down's Syndrome Association which this year focuses on the human rights of people with Down's syndrome. Visit www.downs-syndrome.org.uk to find out more about the campaign.
