Italy 1971. Dir Gualtiero Jacopetti and Franco Prosperi. 126 min. English version

After an overwhelming response to last year's screening of this controversial cult film, we are offering a repeat showing of the Mondo pseudo documentary that imagines slavery and the slave trade in 19th century US as well as its enduring legacy in the 20th century.

The film is not recommended for those who may find material of a violent and sexually explicit nature upsetting.

It will be introduced by Mark Goodall (Sweet and Savage:the world through the shockumentary film lens) and there will be a post-screening discussion of some of its enduring issues.

Film selected in conjunction with African Caribbean London wide community and cultural groups.
