Stories That Sing

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

Stories That Sing takes place over a year, and was devised for 7 to 8 year olds. The project is designed to inspire children to create their own music theatre, devising scripts, lyrics, drama, dance and songs, leading to performance. They work alongside professional artists who encourage them to give rein to their imaginations, express their ideas and emotions. This year's theme: The Tudors.

At the beginning of the year all 600 children involved took guided tours around the Tower of London, learning about life in the tower and some of it's more infamous residents and have been creating music inspired by their experience ever since. The grand finale of the project will see the children march from the Tower of London over Tower Bridge, singing all the while, to The Scoop where they will perform their own songs and special commissioned 'Tudor' songs.
