Anthony Richards from the Department of Documents gives you a chance to take a close look at some of the Museum's most interesting and personal letters, diaries and documents from the First World War.

'Dressed for War' 3pm
Martin Boswell, Curator of Uniforms, provides an illustrated talk on some of the remarkable items added in recent years.

'Gassed' 4pm
A look at the life and work of John Singer Sargent including his most famous piece Gassed with Matthew Brosnan from the Art Department.

Sunday 26 October

'The Somme on Film' 3pm
Toby Haggith from the Film and Video Archive discusses the 1916 film The Battle of the Somme, its historical significance, cultural impact and influence on our memory of the First World War.
