Conflict and Contrast

The Ministry of Defence has an extensive collection of photographs taken by service photographers around the world. This exhibition uses those photographs to explore the contradiction inherent in fighting for peace. It addresses themes such as destruction and development, despair and hope.

A contribution of images from freelance and media sources enhances a thought-provoking glimpse into the complexity of conflict. Throughout the exhibition a common thread emerges of the bravery and commitment of our Armed Forces.

This exhibition is a Remembrance Day tribute from the Ministry of Defence Fast Stream 2008 intake to the Armed Forces.
