Family Arts Tours at Various locations

These free day trips for families led by local volunteers are designed to encourage people from all backgrounds to sample the arts on offer in the South Bank and Bankside area.

The trips are designed for families with kids aged 3-12 but younger/older children can attend too. The groups will go at an easy pace and include breaks and picnic time.

There is a choice of two tours:

Big Boats & Bigger Bridges (Tower Bridge to London Bridge)

Explore the area from Tower Bridge to London Bridge, including paying a visit to the stunning Unicorn Theatre, seeing what's on at The Scoop at More London, checking out the HMS Belfast and visiting the indoor market at Hay's Galleria. Picnic in Potters Fields Park or the grounds of Southwark Cathedral.

Buildings That Move! (London Bridge to South Bank)

Walk from London Bridge to Tate Modern where you can take part in free art activities and view the free general exhibitions for free. Along the way, take in sights along the river such as the "shiver-me-timbers" Golden Hinde, the infamous once-wobbly Millennium Bridge and Shakespeare's Globe. Stroll further down the river to Oxo Tower Wharf where you can take the lift up to an amazing view of the capital. Picnic in nearby Bernie Spain Gardens.
